Apaches - Landing Patrice Bergeron from the Sleeping Mules was a nice addition for next year. It cost them a late 1st and a drop, well worth the price. They didn\'t have much to sell at the deadline.

Bruisin\' Beavers - An OK job done here. Kronwall is an upgrade from Suter, and they also have Jordan Stall in the wings now. That\'s nice for the long term, but with the 4th most points in the league, and 2nd place in their conference, it would have been nice to see them have that killer instinct and upgrade their 6th forward spot or D. A player like Mathieu Schneider or Joe Sakic would have been a perfect fit.

Cobra - No moves of significance. Its been so long since the Cobra have even made the playoffs, Im sure theyre just happy to be here.

Cougars - Arguably the winner at the deadline. Landing ‘Burnaby Joe\' for a blue-chip prospect is exactly what this team needed to do if they wanted to hang with the big boys of the conference. Sakic will be what Jokinen was to them last year. A playoff horse they can ride to the finals.

Dusters - No moves made. What a shame here. With teams needing veteran help, players like Jason Arnott and Patrik Elias had their values at all-time highs. Huge gaff.

Greers Goons - Did they even know it was the deadline?

Hotdog Habers - Its been a rough season. They were able to unload a frustrating Martin Havlat, and expensive Kimmo Timonen. They received decent return, but I think the could have commanded more. Still, it is a deep draft, so the roughly 10th overall pick will be a nice feather in the cap and if Jonathan Cheechoo can ever regain form they win this trade.

JR Helmetheads - It didn\'t have much affect on their current season, but a wise move to step up and grab Chris Pronger. With an abundance of prospects, having a mammoth performer like that will have them in the post-season next year.

Jubilee - Maybe with their recent surge, the Juiblee management didn\'t want to mess with chemistry. That being said, there are definitely upgrades that couldve been made. Landing a couple of producing vets couldve made a huge difference here on their current 5th and 6th forwards.

Juggernaut - A couple minor moves made here but Juggernaut didn\'t really have a lot of buying or selling power this year.

Matt Hatters - It was nice seeing them get into the action and add some pieces for next year. The re-vamped Matt Hatters are shaping up nicely. By the time they have to worry about salary, Timonen will be a deal.

Piglets - Perhaps the Piglets feel they can win it with their current lineup, but if they don\'t, the finger will be pointed to an unupgraded backend. There was a lot of room for improvement there.

Ramrods - They were selling but nobody was buying. Sakic went for peanuts, and Smyth and Schneider generated zero interest. GMs dropping the ball here.

Red Coats - Uneventful, which is too bad. Wouldve been nice to see some shake and bake at the deadline.

Rink Rats - No moves made. I think they were just happy to be in the playoffs.

Silverfish - They made most of their moves earlier in the season.

Synergy - Some major moves have been made throughout the season, but nothing this month. Still, Synergy have completed reshaped their team and remain a force.

White Mules - Its hard to imagine what the Mules are thinking right now. They were completely hosed on consecutive deals and did nothing to help their playoff chances.
